At 6'10" 245 lbs., what separates James from other Power Forward / Centers in the 2016 NBA Draft Class are his lower body strength, his ability to play with leverage in the Low-post, his ability to finish at the rim in traffic and his nose for the ball off the offensive glass. James is one of the top Rebounders in country, having led the Big East Conference in Rebounds per 40 minutes (15.1). James is also a crafty lefty, with surprising athleticism. He has solid shot mechanics and a nice touch at the FT line. James played all four years of college ball at Xavier University, where he improved steadily each season. During his Senior season (2015-16), James led the Musketeers to a top 5 national ranking and a trip back to the NCAA Tournament, averaging 10.7 points, 7.6 rebounds & 1.0 block in 20 minutes per game, while shooting 54% from the field and 72% from the FT line. His best game of the Season came against Seton Hall, when he had 24 points (7-13 FG & 10-11 FT), 15 rebounds, 3 blocks & 2 steals. After the season, James was invited to participate in The Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. James recently participated in NBA pre-draft workouts with The Oklahoma City Thunder and The Dallas Mavericks.
