At 6'10" 230 lbs., what separates Norvel from other Power Forwards from The 2014 NBA Draft class are his freakish NBA bounce, his ability to block shots with either hand and his ability to score efficiently in the paint with both hands. In 2013-14, Norvel was invited to participate in NBA pre-draft combine in Chicago. He also had several pre-draft workouts, including the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors. The Delaware 87ers drafted Norvel with the 6th overall pick in the NBA Development League Draft, where he averaged 5.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 13.1 minutes per game. His 8.2% block percentage ranked 4th in the NBA Development League. His best game of the season came against the Erie BayHawks, when he had 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. In 2014-2015, Norvel signed with the Dacin Tigers in Taiwan, where he averaged 15.0 points, 14.4 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game, shooting 50% from the field and 70% from the free throw line. His best games came against KKL, when he had 27 points & 26 rebounds, against Yulon, when he had 20 points, 21 rebounds and 5 blocks and again against KKL, when he had 22 points, 25 rebounds and 3 blocks. Norvel was voted a starter in the All-star game. In 2015-16, Norvel played for Homenetmen Club in Lebanon, where he averaged 12.5 points, 13.3 rebounds & 3.1 blocks in 34 minutes per game. Norvel will be playing in 2016 NBA Summer League with The Miami Heat.
